We all know that spring and summer fly by a little too fast. That the leaves on the trees start turning and the air gets a chill and we know that it's over. I thought this painting resembled that last bloom before the turning of the seasons. The dark ominous clouds are reaching out barely touching those late summer flowers. September, holding on to the last breaths of summer, trying hard not to turn brown and withered like the others. I called this one "Best Bloom to Forget" because it is the last bloom and because of that it is appreciated so much more knowing the long span of coldness is upon us. Yet, we alway forget the beauty of summer in those dark months, it isn't until spring again that we remember how gorgeous that last bloom was.
